The itinerary is very pleasant, with countless opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. The most scenic part of the entire route can be discovered after passing through a small tunnel in the rock: you will arrive at the Pont del Pison, where below you the Meledrio stream forms the Pison waterfall, which is definitely worth a visit (by descending on a small path to the right, beyond the wooden bridge). Once you reach Malga Vigo Baita Ciocomiti, you can treat yourself to lunch or an aperitif, enjoying a well-deserved relaxation. The return descent follows the same route.
Other precautions:
- Plan the tour based on your abilities and the weather forecast;
- Go slow, be cautious, enjoy the scenery and the silence;
- Adapt your riding style to the characteristics and condition of the terrain;
- Rely on bike guides;
- Wear appropriate clothing and gear;
- Respect the environment around you and the people who live there by taking your trash back down;
- Respect the trail and do not ride on paths prohibited for bikes. Stop if someone needs help;
- Be careful on the bike-pedestrian path and mixed-use trails, which are also frequented by hikers;
- If you encounter pedestrians, notify them of your arrival and reduce your speed.
From Costa Rotian, continue to the intersection with Strada Statale 239, which leads to Madonna di Campiglio: cross the main road and descend about twenty meters until you reach the Sentiero de la Lec. Follow the path until its end, near the hydroelectric plant in Val Meledrio. From there, continue uphill along the forest road of Val Meledrio until you reach Malfa Mondifrà and then Campo Carlo Magno in the Madonna di Campiglio area.
At Campo Carlo Magno, near the Condominio Rio Falzè, follow the signs for Malga Vigo – Baita Ciocomiti, traveling along the forest road for about 3 km.
Return to the valley is expected by following the same route taken out.
From Bologna-Verona and the Brenner: take the A22 Brenner motorway, exiting at Trento Nord for those coming from the south, or at San Michele all'Adige for those coming from the north. Continue towards Cles, Val di Non, along the SS43, and after Cles, take the SS42 towards Passo del Tonale, Val di Sole.
