The medium-difficulty trail starts in Pellizzano and reaches one of the most photographed spots in Val di Sole: Lago dei Caprioli. You'll ascend the characteristic "Sentiero degli Gnomi" (Gnomes' Path), named after the sculptures in wood, stone, and other natural materials you can admire along the way, until you reach the lake.

Safety information
Rules for mountain walks:
The practicability of trails in a mountain environment is closely linked to contingent conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. Therefore, be sure to check the route and its conditions before setting out. You can do so by contacting the nearest Information Office.
If you plan to visit a mountain hut or refuge, make sure they are open, and if you intend to stop for food or sleep, call in advance to book.Leave directions on your itinerary and always carry your cell phone with you.
In the event of an accident, call 112.
Never abandon waste at high altitudes and, if possible, avoid leaving it at refuges or mountain huts you will visit.
If you spot wild animals along the way, please stay on the trail you are walking, don't get too close, don't shout, and keep your dog on a leash to prevent it from instinctively chasing them and scaring them.
Starting point
Pellizzano - playground
Directions
From the playground in the center of Pellizzano, a quaint mountain village whose architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature, climb the winding road that leads to the lake. At the second bend, the path through the woods begins. Once you reach the wooden bridge over the Rio Fazzon, it ascends through the woods following the "Sentiero degli Gnomi," a path characterized by several wooden sculptures from which the trail takes its name. From here, follow the signs for the "Sentiero della Palù," which in about an hour leads to the village of Fazzon and then to the lake. Once you reach the lake, take a break on its shores and relax at the edge of this gem nestled at the foot of the Adamello-Presanella mountain range. The return journey follows the same route.
