Safety information

Rules for mountain walks:

  • The passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, inform yourself well about the route and its conditions before leaving. You can do this by contacting the nearest Information Office to you;
  • If you plan to reach a malga or a refuge, make sure they are open and, if you intend to stop to eat or sleep, call them in advance to book;
  • Leave information about your itinerary and always carry your mobile phone;
  • In case of an accident call 112;
  • Never leave waste in the mountains and, if possible, avoid leaving it at the refuges or malgas you will visit;
  • If you spot wild animals along the route, we invite you to stay on the path you are walking, do not get too close, do not shout and keep your dog on a leash to avoid it instinctively chasing them and frightening them.

Starting point

Ortisè

Directions

The route is a true natural terrace overlooking the Val di Sole with a wide view of the Brenta Dolomites and the Presanella. Starting from Ortisè, a characteristic mountain village at 1477 m altitude, leaving the car in the parking lot near the small church, you can take the carriageable road to Malga Stabli (1814 m), comfortably passable even with a stroller. Once you reach the malga, after passing the Val del Molinac, you can continue crossing the silence of the dense larch and fir woods surrounding you, and after walking the most winding and panoramic stretch, you can arrive at Malga Bronzolo, the destination of the itinerary. Here you can enjoy a stop near the wide pastures surrounding the malga and observe the cows, goats, and other animals during the grazing period. After the relaxing break in contact with nature, you can return to the starting point following the same outward route.
