Route at the foot of Sasso Rosso in the Brenta Dolomites.
Easy snowshoe hike that develops along marked trails with appropriate signage showing a snowshoe. This itinerary develops in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, at the foot of the beautiful Brenta Dolomites, and first reaches typical mountain farms and, later, a small wooden amphitheater, surrounded by silent nature.
For snow hiking activities follow these guidelines:
Park your car at Piazzale Belvedere in Folgarida, the location from which the gondola lift to the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena ski area departs. Staying on the left side of the state highway (in the direction of Madonna di Campiglio) take the path downstream from Hotel Belvedere. Follow it slightly downhill and keep to the right following the signs to 'Ronzola' locality, which you will reach when you see the traditional mountain farms. From there descend in the direction of 'Malga Bassa di Presson'. You will first encounter a fascinating a wooden amphitheater on the right, which symbolizes the embrace between man and nature, and then, always heading uphill to the right you will reach the recently renovated Malga Bassa di Presson.
From here you can return to the starting point by retracing the same route as the outward journey or, alternatively, you can continue along the path that takes you to the SS 239, following which you will return to the parking lot. Since this is a state highway, we advise against this alternative but, if you choose it, please be very careful of cars passing on the road.
You can get to Belvedere di Folgarida by the MALÈ- FOLGARIDA - MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO line (download round-trip timetables), of Trentino Trasporti.
From Val di Sole follow the SS42 to Dimaro and, at the traffic circle, take the SS 239 in the direction of Folgarida - Madonna di Campiglio. At Folgarida stay on the state road again and, after about a kilometer, you will reach Belvedere.
Parking at the Piazzale Belvedere in Folgarida.
