VERMIGLIO CROSS COUNTRY SKIING CENTER

Vermiglio has successfully harnessed a territory and a climate particularly suitable for winter sports. Cross country ski trails wind along some 20 kilometres in the Volpaia-Stavel-Velon area, at the furthermost strip of the Valley towards Lombardy, set amongst the Stelvio National Park (to the North) and the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park(to the South), in an enchanting setting featuring conifer woods and typical rural houses (masi). The track offers three levels of difficulty suitable both to beginners and ski racers, while boasting a variety of landscaped, including a magnificent pine forest, just as evocative as the mountain chains towering against the Val di Sole sky. Since 2002, the Velon loop has been linked to the other trails, forming together a touring route about 22 kilometre long, where all trails are linked together and can be reached with skis on your feet. The offer is topped off by an ice skating rink for lovers of this winter sport.

NEW: THE BIATHLON FIRING RANGE

This facility has twelve firing points with a 10 m range (for junior categories) and three shooting points for 22 caliber carbines with a 50 m range (for training).
The facility is equipped with a lighting system.
