Val di Sole is easy to reach by car, motorbike or mobile home. The A22 Brennero-Modena motorway links up with two of the main Italian motorways, the A1 Milan-Naples and the A4 Milan-Venice. There are two exits off the A22 for Val di Sole: Trento Nord, for those arriving from the south, San Michele all'Adige for those coming from the North. You then follow signs for Cles, Val di Non and finally, Val di Sole.
This route is guaranteed to be open all year round, even in the winter, thanks to a huge fleet of snow-ploughs that remove snow and ice from the entire road network in a matter of hours. From 15 November to 15 April, all cars must be fitted with winter tyres or have snow chains on board.
