WINTER AND SUMMER TOURISM

The village

Folgarida literally means “place of ferns” and is one of the most important economic centres of the area. A village under the municipality of Dimaro Folgarida, it began to flourish in 1965 among the fir and larch trees of the forest, along the road that from Dimaro leads to the Campo Carlo Magno Pass and to Madonna di Campiglio, which is only 8 km away. Today, Folgarida is one of the most visited resorts in Trentino, both in the summer and winter.
During the winter, it offers the possibility to use the vast network of slopes, runs and modern lifts of the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena Skiarea. A high-mountain circuit links the winter stations located on the different faces of the mountain, enabling skiers to use all the available slopes and runs. Snow is guaranteed and the landscape will leave you in awe.

ADAMELLO BRENTA NATURAL PARK

Val Meledrio

Folgarida is the starting point of many beautiful excursions in the Val Meledrio valley, linking Val di Sole and Val Rendena and situated in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. This narrow and wild valley is laved by the waters of the Meledrio stream, which originates in Malghette Lake and flows into the Noce River at Dimaro. At one point the stream comes to a narrow rocky ravine. This is the site of the Pison falls, which are worth admiring both from above - standing atop the characteristic and recently built larch wood bridge - and from below, via the well-marked trail.
