A relaxing and healthy multisensory experience in the company of bees. The heady smells of the beehives, the hypnotic humming, an up-close view of the bees’ relentless toil. A wellness immersion where you can breathe in the beehive air with its scent of honey, pollen, wax and propolis, while listening to the beehumming to relax your mind and body in harmony with nature. Enter the beehive and dive into the wonderful world of bees. And last but not least, taste our honey!

The holistic apiary is a facility that has beehives connected to it on the outside. The air from the hives fills the environment inside the apiary with scents and sounds. The beehives are connected to the facility via mesh-protected openings. Our apiary is set against the stunning backdrop of a tiny, picturesque mountain village up high with breathtaking views of the mountain ranges all around.

WHO ARE WE

The Casa dell'Ape, or ‘Bee House’ farm, in Ortisè was set up for the love of bees and nature! It has been specialised in building beehives, beekeeping and locally grown vegetables for over 20 years.

WHAT WE SUPPLY

We’ll provide you with a beekeeper’s mask and overalls. We’ll be there with you during your time in the apiary.
And we’ll give you honey and vegetables to try at the end of your experience.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Activity suitable for everyone.
Ideal for anyone who fancies a uniquely relaxing experience at 1500 m above sea level

EQUIPMENT/CLOTHING

You’ll need to wear long trousers under the beekeeper’s overalls. You’ll enter the apiary barefoot: belongings and backpacks should be left outside to ensure maximum relaxation and to respect life inside the beehive.

MEETING POINT

ORTISÉ - Chiesa S. Cristoforo
You can reach Ortisé with your car by following the SS42. Follow the directions and take the road that goes up to Ortisé at the crossroads between Mezzana and Pellizzano.
