When the darkness of the night takes over and the moon dominates the sky, in Ossana, among the ancient walls of Castello San Michele, there descends an atmosphere of mystery laden with ancient secrets, wrapped in captivating tales and legends. Along the path illuminated by torches and accompanied by a storyteller, you will traverse the most remote corners of the fortress, discovering its intriguing history and mysteries. The nighttime visit to the castle is full of suggestions and brings ancient legends to light.
INTERESTING FACTS
Castel San Michele, named after the saint to whom the chapel was dedicated, or Castello di Ossana, is perched on a rocky spur. It was strategically positioned between the Trentino region and the Upper Brescia area, enjoying full civil and criminal administration under the Episcopal Curia. It most likely dates back to the Longobard era, but the first definite records of it are from 1191.
