Water Music Festival

Concerts at Lake Valbiolo

Fifth edition of the Water Music Festival, the musical event right on the water that complements the experience of the now-famous winter festival Ice Music Festival with its incredible ice instruments. Here, water takes center stage—water that creates and conveys intense emotions just waiting to be experienced.

From 11 July to 22 August, many concerts await you in one of the most enchanting spots of our area: Lake Valbiolo at Passo Tonale. From 3 July to 6 September, a floating walkway will be installed on Lake Valbiolo, offering everyone the daily thrill of walking on an alpine lake! The walkway is open to the public free of charge from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The magic of the performances blends with the beauty of our local mountains for a unique experience that engages all your senses! Not only a chance to have fun with the whole family listening to music, but also an opportunity to visit one of the most spectacular mountain corners between Lombardy and Trentino... This is the location of the Water Music Festival.

A FAIRYTALE LOCATION

LAKE VALBIOLO

Lake Valbiolo is located at an **altitude of 2,050 meters** on the slopes of Passo Tonale, offering an incredible view of the Presanella massif. In summer, it is a favorite destination for families, who can find charming wooden sculptures all around the lake as well as wide lawns to sunbathe or play.
It can be reached on foot via a 30-minute walk from the Valbiolo chairlift parking lot, along a path that is partly paved and partly dirt, on the Trentino side of the Pass.

WATER MUSIC PARTY – ROCK MUSIC & BEER

It’s the Water Music Festival party, featuring rock music and local craft beer. Sing and dance all afternoon with three very different bands ready to entertain you.

The afternoon kicks off with MASTERSHAKE, combining a refined DJ set with a live electronic music performance. Their carefully selected repertoire ranges from Massive Attack to Prince, James Brown to Röyksopp, all the way to the French House sounds of Spiller and Basement Jaxx.

Next up is the rock cover band JACKIE ROSE, specialising in 70s and 80s rock, bringing a true Rock Show to the stage. Passionate about the genre and true specialists, they will take you back to the golden age of rock, when everything was authentic and strictly live. Queen, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Aerosmith and the best of 70s and 80s rock come together in a show for all ages, complete with period costumes and instruments.

The afternoon ends with the unpredictable show of the cover band TEO E LE VELINE GRASSE. Theatrical, eccentric and unconventional, they reinterpret Italian music classics through the wild creativity of six sound experimenters. Expect legendary songs completely transformed: from a classic ballad performed in the style of the Foo Fighters to forgotten hits rearranged with a Muse-inspired sound.

The event is free and open to everyone.

JOAN THIELE

After enchanting the Verona Arena during the closing ceremony of Milano Cortina 2026 and performing on the Sanremo Festival stage during the cover night, the talented singer-songwriter will perform at Lake Valbiolo in Passo Tonale, the most spectacular stop of her summer tour.

Joan Thiele is a versatile singer-songwriter and producer. Her sound world blends R&B, soul, jazz influences and an international spirit, with a cinematic approach inspired by the soundtracks of Italian cinema from the 1960s and 1970s, from Piero Umiliani to Piero Piccioni. Her musical and visual identity is always original, proving that a new experimental approach to pop music is possible.

An unmissable event to be carried away by the voice of this outstanding artist in an emotional open-air concert at high altitude.
