Ski Mountaineering Gathering

Route: The event consists of an ascent to the Doss dei Gembri Refuge, starting in line from Peio Fonti at 7:00 PM (length approximately 6 km – 1,000 m elevation gain). The ascent route will be determined based on snow conditions. Return will take place, as usual, along the Doss dei Gembri and Tarlenta slopes.

Participants: Participants of all genders are admitted, provided they are equipped with ski touring skis with climbing skins, a helmet, and a headlamp/flashlight. Using a backpack with spare clothes and technical gear is recommended. Cross-country or trekking skis are not allowed. Written authorization from a parent is required for minors.

Registration (€ 40.00 fee): Registration is open until the maximum capacity of 1,000 (one thousand) participants is reached and can be completed:

• Via the dedicated form on the website www.visitvaldipejo.it with online payment (processing fees apply). Multiple registrations are possible by providing the following details for each participant: First Name, Last Name, year of birth, Group/Team, email, and phone number.

• At the Information Offices in Peio Fonti and Cogolo (hours: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 4:00 PM–6:00 PM) with simultaneous payment of the fee.

• During registration, it will also be possible to book a restaurant for dinner, subject to remaining availability.

Refunds and Non-Attendance:

• In case of non-attendance, the fee will not be refunded, but registered participants retain the right to collect their race packet (even after the event date).

• Refunds will be granted exclusively upon presentation of a medical certificate issued by one’s primary care physician.

Name and Restaurant Changes:

• Name Change: Can be processed directly through the form on visitvaldipejo.it at a cost of € 10.00. The organization will not issue refunds: the financial transaction for the entry must take place directly between the two participants.

• Restaurant Change: It is possible to change the restaurant online via the form, subject to availability, for an additional fee of € 5.00.

Bib and Race Packet Collection: On the day of the event, starting from 5:00 PM, at the garage at the cable car bottom station. The race packet will also include the meal voucher to be presented at the restaurant chosen for dinner.

Dinner: At the end of the event, dinner will take place at affiliated refuges, restaurants, and pizzerias in Peio Fonti, as indicated on the meal voucher collected with the race bib and selected during registration. The voucher is valid exclusively at the selected venue.

Standings and Award Ceremony: The award ceremony will take place at the Peio Fonti Spa Center theater at approximately 11:00 PM. Competitors will be divided into male and female categories. Awards will be given to:

• The top 10 finishers in the male category and top 10 in the female category.

• A single special Under 18 category (born on or after January 1, 2008), with the presentation of the Carletto Canella Trophy.

• The 10 largest groups, with the 10th Roberto Casanova Memorial awarded to the first-place group.

• The youngest and oldest competitors (male and female).

• All participants will receive a souvenir race packet.

Raffle: Numerous prizes will be drawn among all participants during the award ceremony. Prizes (except for the grand prize) may be collected immediately by a proxy. The grand prize will strictly be awarded only if the drawn athlete is present in the hall.

Participant List and Results: Will be published on www.visitvaldipejo.it and www.satpeio.it.

Cancellation or Rescheduling:

• In case of total cancellation of the event, the fee will not be refunded, but participants remain entitled to the race packet.

• In case of postponement due to bad weather or force majeure, all registrants will be automatically transferred to the backup date (scheduled for the following Friday with the same schedule and program). The fee will not be refunded.

Uncollected Race Packets and Raffle Prizes: Any race packets or raffle prizes not collected during the event can be picked up at the Peio Fonti Tourist Office no later than Saturday, February 20, 2027.

Liability: By registering, participants release the organizers from any civil and criminal liability for damage to persons or property that may occur before, during, and after the event. The Organizing Committee declares that it has taken out third-party liability insurance coverage for risks arising from the event.

Race Bibs: Race bibs can be collected on Friday morning at the Peio Fonti Information Office (opening hours: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM) or from 4:30 PM at the cable car station garage. Inside the envelope you will find: the race bib (to be attached to your right thigh), a meal voucher, a souvenir gadget voucher, and the link for RacePhoto photos.

Gadget Collection: The souvenir gadget can be collected either before the event at the cable car square or afterward at the garage of Residence Pejo 3000, whom we thank for their cooperation. For those who have not yet picked up their gadget, items remain available at the Peio Fonti Information Office until March 6, 2027.

Safety Recommendation: Headlamps must be kept turned on at all times during the event, both on the ascent and descent. We strongly advise taking extra care on the descent and keeping your speed under control.

Dinners: Please ensure you attend dinner at your designated restaurant. Dinners must be booked directly online during registration. Changes or modifications will not be accepted. Non-participants and family members may dine at the following venues: Hotel Pejo, Cantuccio del Gusto, Lo Scoiattolo, Hotel Centrale, and Hotel Rosa degli Angeli.

Parking: Thanks to the collaboration of Terme di Pejo and the Municipality of Peio, parking at the cable car departure station will be free of charge starting at 4:00 PM. Additional parking spots are available at the Hotel Rosa degli Angeli Parking Lot (Via per Monte Boai) and the Stelviobus Parking Lot (Via del Fontanino). We strongly encourage carpooling to optimize parking management.

For the 30th Ski Mountaineering Gathering at the Foot of Mount Vioz, starting this year, selecting your dinner venue during registration will be mandatory.

During booking, a gluten-free menu can be selected exclusively at Ristorante Cantuccio, whereas vegetarian options or any dietary allergies must be specified in the notes for all other venues.
