Route in front of the Brenta Dolomites and then in the lush Val Meledrio.
Using a bike with a suspension fork and hydraulic disc brakes is recommended. We advise having good control of the brakes on descents. We recommend joining guided routes organized by the local bike schools.
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural events, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before departing, check the state of the route by contacting the tourist offices.
From the upper station of the cable car, follow the direction Malghet Aut and then towards Malga di Dimaro where we recommend making your first stop to see the milk preparation and to taste the local products. From the hut, take a dirt road (in some parts it becomes a bit rough) towards Malga Darè. Continue until you reach the state road leading to Campo Carlo Magno. Follow it uphill for 500 meters and take a path on the left that goes around the perimeter of the golf course until it joins the dirt road to Malga Mondifrà. Pass it and continue downhill on a comfortable dirt road. Staying next to the state road, keep on the dirt road downhill until the junction leading to Folgarida. Also keep right going downhill. Descend along the wonderful Val Meledrio to the wooden bridge, after which a climb of about 100 meters awaits you. From here begins another pleasant descent near the unique Dosso di Santa Brigida to the village of Carciato.
Use of the Folgarida Marilleva cable car lifts.
You can use the "Val di Sole Opportunity - Trentino Guest Card".
From Bergamo-Brescia: follow the SS42 del Tonale.
From Bologna-Verona and from Brenner: A22 Brenner exit Trento Nord if coming from the south, exit San Michele all’Adige if coming from the north. Continue towards Cles, Val di Non, along the SS43 and, after passing Cles, take the SS42 towards Passo del Tonale, Val di Sole.
We always recommend carrying a repair kit: inner tube, pump, sealant, patches, and a set of tools for quick repairs.
