Medium Difficulty Hike from the quaint village of Peio (situated at an altitude of 1,584 meters, claiming the title of the highest village in Trentino), initially reaching Malga Saline and then the Saroden area, where the namesake chairlift begins.
This ski mountaineering ascent involves a vertical gain of approximately 600 meters, starting from the small village of Peio, which during the Austrian period was the highest inhabited center of the monarchy and now holds that title in Trentino. The route ascends to Malga Saline, overlooking the Val de la Mare, before reaching the Saroden area.

Directions
Starting from the bus parking lot in Peio Village, cross the small village towards the church and reach the hill of San Rocco, a former Austro-Hungarian cemetery. From here, follow the signs to Malga Saline on the right, overlooking the beginning of Val de la Mare. Once reached, continue to ascend, on a slightly steeper stretch, to reach the Seroden area, where the ski area slopes intersect. For the descent, follow the Doss dei Cembri slope (first red difficulty and then blue) until reaching Rist. Scoiattolo, where you can enjoy the warm sun rays on the terrace, savoring excellent typical dishes. From here, descend along the Tarlenta slope to Peio Village (red difficulty), to the Covel area. Then follow the path, returning again to San Rocco and then to Peio.

For all ski mountaineering excursions, appropriate clothing is recommended, especially in case of sudden temperature drops. It is necessary to wear suitable technical clothing that does not get wet when in contact with snow (such as Gore-Tex), gloves, hat, sunglasses, and protective sunscreen.
It is mandatory to carry the self-rescue kit consisting of Artva-Shovel-Probe (which can be rented if necessary, see the shops where it's available here). It is also advisable to wear a helmet (for minors, wearing a helmet is mandatory) or other active protection systems (e.g., backpacks with ABS-Airbag systems).
In case of hard or icy snow, the use of crampons is recommended.
