Departure from Cabinovia Paradiso car park in Tonale. From here take the cable-car to Passo Paradiso (2.585m). A dirt road then leads to Lago del Monticello, where on the right is the SAT 44 which, after passing a number of rocky jumps arrives at Passo del Castellaccio (2.936m) where the «Via Ferrata» begins. Wearing the correct mountain clothing and equipment hitch up to the first ropes and after a walk on semi-level terrain you will arrive at a tunnel dug out of the rocks, continuing for a few metres you will see 2 metal bridges which are respectively 75m and 55m long. Alternatively, the bridges can be avoided by using the tunnel itself, which is 67m long.
From here the route continues on a slight slope and then uphill until reaching the highest point, il «Corno di Lagoscuro» (3.160m), where you can find the «Capanna Lagoscuro» an unmanned rifugio open only occasionally. Now the route descends to Passo Lagoscuro (2.970m) where the « Via ferrata» ends. During the Great War this was the site of a military village, of which some remains can still be seen.
