The Valorz Valley appears like an amphitheater facing the village, and its picture-postcard landscape can be explored on foot along the natural and cultural trail of the Valorz farmsteads, which leads to the base of the waterfalls of the same name.
A moderately difficult itinerary that starts from the Kneipp path – a barefoot trail that uses the fresh waters of the Rio Valorz to restore well-being through hydrotherapy – will lead you to discover the charming Rio Valorz Trail. Along the route, you’ll find wooden sculptures and other artworks made from natural materials by artist Maurizio Misseroni, accompanied by verses from the most beautiful poems by Teresa Girardi, a renowned poet originally from Rabbi, engraved on benches. About halfway through this 2-kilometer loop, you can take a detour to the Valorz Waterfalls and enjoy a break at the large picnic area located at the base.

Safety information
To go on a mountain hike safely, we recommend that you:
Choose a route suitable for your level of fitness. If in doubt, contact our Information Offices.
Plan your hike in advance: check the weather forecast, the route you will follow, and the operating hours of any lift systems you may use. Remember that trail conditions in the mountains are closely linked to current circumstances and depend on natural events, environmental changes, and weather. Always check the route conditions before setting off.
Leave information about your itinerary and estimated return time, and carry your mobile phone.
Pay attention to the signs and trail markers along the way: Stelvio National Park signs, white and red SAT signs, and red-and-white trail markings on rocks or trees.
In case of an emergency, call 112.
Book your meal or overnight stay at the hut or alpine dairy in advance.
Never leave waste behind in the mountains, and if possible, avoid leaving trash even at huts or alpine dairies.
If you encounter wildlife along the way, stay on the path, do not approach the animals, avoid shouting, and keep your dog on a leash to prevent it from instinctively chasing and frightening them.

Directions
After parking your car in front of the Rabbi information office, follow the signs to the Kneipp trail, which can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot. From there, take the road that first is paved and then becomes a trail, following the signs for the Rio Valorz Trail and the trail marker no. 121. This circular route is about 2 kilometers long with an elevation gain of around 170 meters, making it suitable for families, but not for strollers due to its natural surface and some narrow sections. About halfway along the trail, at the Valorz parking area, you'll find a wooden sculpture of a bear indicating the direction to the Valorz Waterfalls. In about 1 hour round-trip, you can reach these spectacular waterfalls immersed in the Valorz Valley, where you can take a short break to admire the force of nature. From there, retrace your steps to the Valorz parking area and then continue along the Rio Valorz Trail back to San Bernardo.
Public transportation
You can reach San Bernardo by the Trentino Trasporti public bus on the MALÈ – RABBI BAGNI – SOMRABBI route (download the outbound and return timetables).
How to get there
Drive along the SS42 and take the right exit at the Terzolas centro exit onto Via Nazionale. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards Val di Rabbi and follow the SP86 to San Bernardo.
Where to park
You can park your car in the parking area near the Rabbi information office or close to the Kneipp Path.
To go on a mountain hike, it’s always useful to:
wear hiking boots suitable for uneven, rough, and wet terrain, long pants, a hat, and sunglasses;
pack a waterproof jacket, a fleece, hat and gloves, sunscreen, and at least a minimum change of clothes;
bring a water bottle and snacks for energy slumps (dried fruit, energy bars, or chocolate);
don’t forget your camera or phone to capture the views and landscapes you love most. If you like, share them on social media using #visitvaldisole.
