Circular route with panoramic spots in Stelvio National Park.
Medium difficulty route that crosses the wooded slopes of Val del Monte, above Peio Fonti.
The hike offers several panoramic viewpoints and is suitable for families with children due to the presence of animals (however, it is not possible to undertake it with strollers!), while taking into account an altitude difference of 700 meters. The itinerary has cultural and historical relevance, represented by old larches, charcoal kilns and the cheese malga, geological relevance, also highlighted by several explanatory panels, and botanical relevance, for the presence of numerous rare species and faunistic, including marmots and mouflons.

Initially the path develops in the forest and then little by little the view, like a fan, opens to the Val Comasine with its slopes destined to pasture, dominated by the peak of Mount Boai. The path runs alongside the stream of Val Comasine, where the blooms are spectacular and where you will probably hear the whistles of marmots, which, alerted by human presence, give the alarm.
Having reached malga Val Comasine at 2088 meters, after passing the ruins of the old malga, with wooden inserts dating back to the 1700s, you will probably be welcomed by the shepherd and cheesemaker. At malga Val Comasine you can buy excellent local cheese, Casolét, and the fantastic malga butter, with its unmistakable yellowish color, a sign of genuineness (for a moment forget about cholesterol and taste it: it is really a wonder!).
After the 'cheese stop' continue through the ancient larch forest, which is located above malga Mason (2178 m). Take a moment to observe them: it is estimated that they are between 500 and 650 years old, and their history is linked to the exploitation of the Comasine iron mines. In the area, you can also see ancient charcoal kilns.
The circular route takes you back to malga Val Comasine, then back again to the Belvedere of Peio Fonti.
