The route develops in the town of Dimaro Folgarida inside the hamlets of Monclassico and Presson: an open-air art gallery with over 50 sundials scattered around various points of the two towns.

Walking through the streets of these small villages you will feel like you are in a true open-air gallery that changes depending on the season you undertake the route. The sundials scattered in various points of the two villages are more than 50 and were created by artists of local, national and international renown with the collaboration of expert gnomonists and at the behest of the "Le Meridiane" Cultural Association (scholars who deal with     (among these the special Horizontal Sundial and the camera obscura).

Safety information

To undertake a mountain hike we suggest you:

  1. choose a route suitable for your fitness level. If in doubt, contact our Information Offices;
  2. prepare your hike: check the weather forecast, the route you will follow and the operating times of the lifts, if your itinerary includes their use. Remember that the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, get good information about the route and its conditions before setting off;
  3. leave information about your itinerary, the approximate return time and bring your mobile phone;
  4. pay attention to signs and markings along the route: Stelvio Park signs, white and red SAT signs and red and white brush strokes on stones or trees;
  5. raise the alarm by calling 112 in case of an accident;
  6. book in advance the mountain huts or refuges where you intend to stop to eat or sleep;
  7. never abandon waste in high altitude areas and, if possible, avoid leaving it at the refuges or mountain huts you visit;
  8. if you spot wild animals along the way, we invite you to stay on the path you are following, do not approach too closely, do not shout and keep your dog on a leash to prevent it from instinctively chasing and frightening them.
