From Daolasa of Commezzadura, reach the Piano hamlet through a short stretch of bike path. Then cross to the opposite side of the valley and, through old forest roads and trails, reach the characteristic hamlets of Mestriago, Deggiano, then climb to Montes arriving up to Bolentina. Then climb further on a forest road until you take a short trail that will take you to Val di Rabbi on the forest road of the farmhouses. You reach Malé via "La Lec", the ancient road that from Località Birreria leads to the Solandro capital, crossing the Noce river to pass to the opposite side of the mountain.
Return through the Val di Sole Marathon route, towards Commezzadura, on forest roads crossing the wild Val Meledrio.

Suggestions

Once you arrive at the village of Montes, you will pass near the small church of San Valentino: take a break and look out from the beautiful terrace over Val di Sole.

Safety information

The natural uphill trail from Piano to Bolentina is narrow in some sections: therefore, pay attention in these areas, and if needed, push your bike. Important advice: if SPD pedals are used and you are not very experienced with them, it is better not to stay clipped in.

Other tips:

- Plan the route according to your abilities and the weather forecast;

- Go slow, be careful, enjoy the scenery and the silence;

- Adapt your riding style to the characteristics and condition of the terrain;

- Rely on bike guides;

- Wear appropriate clothing and equipment;

- Respect the environment and those who live there by carrying out your trash;

- Respect the trail and do not ride on those forbidden to bikes. Stop if someone needs help;

- Be cautious along the cycle-pedestrian path and mixed-use trails also frequented by hikers;

- If you meet pedestrians, warn them of your arrival and reduce speed.

Directions

From the Daolasa parking lot, take the bike path westward, towards the upper Val di Sole.

Near the village of Piano, cross the bridge over the Noce river, leave the bike path and continue straight towards the village center. At the first fork, turn right and after 100 meters, take the road on the left that climbs up to a wide hairpin bend. Just before the parking lot, turn right still going uphill to take the dirt road, then turn right onto a trail with a slight descent.
The trail connects to the dirt road which descends to the village of Commezzadura; upon reaching the Church of St. John the Baptist, continue left crossing a meadow. After the wooden bridge, take the Aulasa trail uphill until you reach a large farmhouse overlooking the village of Commezzadura.

From here continue on the dirt road for 500 meters until the entrance on the left of a trail that climbs gently to the village of Deggiano. Entering the village, continue on Via dei Plazzol crossing the whole village, then take the dirt road on the left with a slight climb facing two hairpin bends. Continue on the road always uphill until Montes, then proceed on the asphalt road towards the Parish of Bolentina, where you can enjoy a fantastic view over the valley.

Upon reaching the Chapel of Santa Barbara, take the fork to the left downhill; continue to the fork that turning right leads onto a dirt road towards Val di Rabbi.

At the end of the road, take a downhill single trail then resume the dirt road. Follow the signs for Malè on the strada dela Lec.

Upon reaching Via Trento, the main road of Malé, continue left on Via Guglielmo Marconi towards the playground and municipal pool on Via alla Croce.

After passing the playground, the dirt road begins which leads to a narrow bridge crossing the Noce river; after crossing it, continue right on the asphalt road. At the ice stadium, turn left then right onto Via Molini. Continue on the road towards the Mmape Museum, then to Località le Plazze di Croviana and finally, above the town of Monclassico, on Via alla Sorgente. After a short descent, take again the dirt road to the left uphill.

Continue for a long stretch through the forest until the village of Carciato, entering Piazza S. Giovanni and continuing left on Via Acquaseri.

At the fork for Val Meledrio, continue uphill to the right, following the road to the bridge crossing the Meledrio stream.

Continue always uphill on the dirt road to the hydroelectric plant and the bridge that crosses the stream again.

Before the bridge, take the slightly uphill trail to the right, continuing through the forest you reach SS239 at the intersection to the right towards Costa Rotian. Continue in this direction and turn left on a downhill single track and after 500 meters resume the asphalt road which, passing through the village of Almazzago, returns to the Daolasa parking lot.
