Medium-high difficulty trekking that through a steep trail leads to Malga Borche
A path immersed in the woods of Val di Peio through which, not without effort, you reach Malga Borche, where you can admire dry cows and calves.
To face a mountain hike we suggest you:
Starting from Cogolo in Via Cercen, you follow a decidedly steep road alternating between stretches immersed in dense woods and stretches that open onto wide, green pastures along the SAT 109B trail until you reach the hut located at 1,808 meters altitude. Once you reach the hut, we recommend you take a break and relax with a blanket spread out on its pastures, listening to the cowbells of the grazing cows ringing in the distance and the water of the streams around you rushing. If you still have energy, you can continue along the same trail and follow the signs to reach Malga Levi at 2,015 meters altitude.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
You can also reach Malga Borche starting from Celledizzo, just behind the church, reach the road above the nearby stable crossing the uphill meadow beside the cemetery and take the forest road (SAT 109 trail) which climbs for about 7 kilometers with a significant slope until you reach the hut.
You can reach Cogolo by line bus MALÈ - MEZZANA - FUCINE - COGOLO - PEIO (download the schedules for outbound and return).
Follow the SS42 and at the junction for Val di Peio, exit to the right and follow the SP87 until you reach the village of Cogolo.
You can leave your car in Cogolo, in the large parking lot you will find along the road and then you can reach the starting point of the route in Via Cercen on foot in about 10 minutes.
