Admire the splendid Val di Peio from a completely new viewpoint. Follow the path leading from the village of Cogolo to the distinctive hill where the small Church of Santa Lucia stands. The chapel overlooking Val di Peio is located just outside the village of Comasine, once inhabited by miners working in the nearby iron mines. A simple walk through the forest that will quickly bring you to a truly unique environment thanks to its spectacular panoramic view of the valley.

Cogolo – bus stop parking
Directions
Having left the large parking lot near the Cogolo bus stop (1160 m), continue along the sidewalk on SP 87 towards Celledizzo for about 50 m, then turn right onto the road to the Plaze locality – cycle-pedestrian path. Then turn right onto the path that climbs into the woods up to the romantic Santa Lucia Chapel (1300 m), isolated on a hill outside the Comasine village, an ancient hamlet once inhabited by miners. From the church, take the visible descending path to the small shrine, then continue left through the meadows and then again left, follow the country lane that leads back to the Plaze locality.

You can reach Cogolo di Peio with the Trentino Trasporti line bus MALÈ - MEZZANA - FUCINE - COGOLO - PEIO (download outbound and return timetables).

Folgen Sie der SS42 bis zur Abzweigung ins Val di Peio, die Sie rechts auf die SP87 nehmen. Folgen Sie dann der Landesstraße bis zum Ort Cogolo.
