Safety information

To undertake a mountain hike, we suggest you:
  • Choose a route suitable for your preparation. In case of doubt, contact the Alpine Guides or our Information Offices.
  • Prepare your hike: check the weather forecast, the route you will follow, and the schedules of the lifts, if your itinerary includes their use. Remember that the accessibility of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, get detailed information on the route and its conditions before setting off.
  • Leave information about your itinerary, your approximate return time, and bring your mobile phone with you.
  • Pay attention to the signs and markings you find along the route: Stelvio National Park signs, white and red SAT signs, and red and white markings on stones or trees.
  • Book in advance the alpine hut or refuge where you intend to stop to eat or sleep.
  • Never leave rubbish at high altitude and, if possible, avoid leaving it at the huts or alpine farms you visit.

Starting point

Hotel La Mirandola

Directions
