The Viscle walk is an easy hike that leads from the locality Velon to Malga Pecè, following the course of the Vermigliana stream. The murmur of its waters will accompany you for almost the entire route, which, with little elevation gain, will take you to the hut and its green and wide pasture, where you can enjoy a moment of rest in the middle of nature.
Easy circular route that, through a path with little elevation gain and mainly on a comfortable and flat dirt road, will allow you to reach Malga Pecè. Here, you can take some time to enjoy the panorama and the surrounding nature, while the only background sound will be the singing of the birds that populate the woods around the hut. The route runs along the course of the fresh waters of the Vermigliana stream, almost entirely in the shade of firs and pines, making it a perfect itinerary for hot summer days.
Rules for mountain walks:
After passing the Hotel Baita Velon (1348 m), where you can leave your car, take the path marked "passeggiata delle Viscle" (1432 m). Following the flat dirt road alongside the stream, you will reach a large picnic area where you can stop to enjoy your packed lunch or take a short break in the shade, enjoying the refreshing alpine air. After the picnic area, the path turns right and, after crossing the bridge, immediately turns left onto the path leading to the "pradi del Pecè" (with a stroller, continue on the dirt road towards Velon); ascending the green pasture until you reach the Malga located at 1503 meters above sea level. For the return, you can take the forest road, staying for a stretch on the left side of the stream, then crossing a bridge on the right, thus completing a circular route.
You can reach the village of Vermiglio by Trentino Trasporti public bus MALÈ - MEZZANA - FUCINE - VERMIGLIO - TONALE (download the outbound and return schedules).
Follow the SS42 until you reach the village of Vermiglio, and from there, follow the signs to the locality Velon.
You can leave your car in the parking lot located near Hotel Baita Velon.
To undertake this walk, we recommend wearing hiking boots and a hat and carrying a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and a water bottle in your backpack.
