An itinerary that leads to the suggestive malgas Stabli and Bronzolo from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of Val di Sole, the Brenta Dolomites as well as the highest peak of Trentino, the Presanella.
Medium difficulty route that through wide green areas and dense larch woods leads to Malga Stabli, a real natural terrace over the Brenta Dolomites and the Presanella peak, and to Malga Bronzolo, surrounded by pastures where you can meet animals during grazing.
The route, which extends for about 17 kilometers, starts at the parking lot in the small and charming village of Castello (a hamlet of Pellizzano). From the square, you begin cycling on the panoramic paved road SP140 towards Ortisé (another small hamlet of the Municipality of Mezzana). Along this road, you can already start admiring splendid terraced meadows and pastures that will characterize the entire itinerary.
Then you cross the pretty hamlet of Ortisé, a typical mountain village with characteristic larch wood houses. Once you reach the lovely church of San Cristoforo, take the road towards Malga Stabli, first paved and then dirt with a compact surface with a constant and moderate slope. Between pedal strokes, observe the meadows and pastures surrounding you as well as the dense larch woods that will give you relief during hot summer days and reach Malga Stabli. Here you can enjoy a short break to admire the spectacular view that opens before you: from the majestic Brenta Dolomites to the Presanella. For a tasty lunch, the malga offers a menu with dishes made with typical local products, or if you prefer a quick stop, don't miss the delicious desserts.
Continuing along the dirt road, still with a gentle slope, you then reach Malga Bronzolo, the highest point of the itinerary (elevation 2,100m a.s.l.) from which you enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains surrounding Val di Sole. Here you can relax near the large pastures surrounding the malga and watch the cows, goats, and other animals during the grazing period. The itinerary concludes by retracing the outward route (be careful when descending for the possible presence of vehicles on the road).
Thanks to the presence of larch forests along the entire route, this path is perfect for autumn when the forest becomes a true palette of colors.
