Starting point

Dimaro - FTM Station

Directions

Starting from the Dimaro train station, pedal towards Val Meledrio and following the homonymous stream, climb through the dense forest of firs and conifers until you reach the locality of Folgarida Belvedere. The route continues towards the Malga di Dimaro, reaching the locality of Malghet Aut on a constant ascent. Continue ascending until you reach the summit of Monte Vigo, where the effort experienced in the challenging but non-technical climb will be rewarded by the splendid view of the Brenta Dolomites and the main mountain groups of Val di Sole. With a steep descent on a dirt road, you first reach Rifugio Orti then continue, still descending, to the charming Lago dei Caprioli. You can choose to cycle around the lake on your gravel bike or stop and enjoy the magnificent natural panorama before you. From the lake, cross Monte Salvat reaching Valpiana and its green pastures, then descend to the village of Ossana and return to Dimaro along the Val di Sole cycle-pedestrian path.
