A challenging ride, but definitely panoramic, allowing you to enjoy a spectacular view of the majestic and fascinating Brenta Dolomites and the highest peak in Trentino, the Presanella.

The itinerary starts from the Mezzana railway station, from where you quickly reach the village of Ossana, cycling along the comfortable cycle-pedestrian path. From the village of Ossana, the route enters the enchanting Val di Peio and with rather challenging rides, reaches Malga Campo, then reaching Lake Celentino: a small lake visible only in the first summer months. From here on, the wonder: a view stretching from the Brenta Dolomites to the Adamello-Presanella mountain group will leave you amazed. Then continue until you reach Malga Stabli and then descend crossing the small mountain villages of Menas, Ortisé and Termenago, until you return to the Mezzana station.

Starting point

Mezzana - FTM Station

Directions

Starting from the Mezzana railway station, you reach the characteristic village of Ossana, along the comfortable Val di Sole cycle-pedestrian path. Once in Ossana, turn right towards Val di Peio and you will quickly arrive at the small village of Celentino. From here, you start climbing along a fairly challenging forest road until you reach Malga Campo. Take a break and why not, also enjoy a slice of delicious strudel or an excellent tasting of typical products with a nice platter of cold cuts and cheeses produced there. Once recovered from the climb, the ride continues along a fairly flat but slightly technical stretch that will lead you to Lake Celentino. This small lake, formed by melting snow, is only visible in the early summer months, while for the rest of the season, it is almost impossible to spot. Despite this, from this point you can enjoy a splendid view of the Brenta Dolomites mountain group and the Presanella peak, which will enchant you with its grandeur. The itinerary then continues on a rough path in a beautiful alpine environment up to first reach Baita Pozze and then downhill on a steep dirt road, you reach Malga Stabli, a characteristic hut recently renovated where you can enjoy typical Trentino traditional dishes. From Malga Stabli, you face a further stretch of climb, although brief, on a pleasant forest road. After reaching a private hut, you first descend on a smooth forest dirt road connected to an asphalt road. After crossing the small and characteristic mountain villages of Menas, Ortisé and Termenago, you return to the Mezzana railway station.
